COSCAST 2.0L 16V DOHC C20LET Turbo Engine

A kit form to build a running C20LET. From a Vauxhall Calibra Turbo of just 60,000 miles.
Includes parts for Mk2 Astra GTE conversion, will bolt up to an F20 (5 speed) or F28 (6 Speed) Gearbox, and uses the same engine mounts as a C20XE or 20XE Redtop engine. Also with a bit of engineering can be shoe-horned into a multitude of other cars, such as Vauxhall / Opel Nova, Corsa, Manta, Cavalier, Caterham, Westfield and Robin Hood Lotus 7, Mini, some SAAB's etc...
This engine has been dry-stored indoors for about 10 years in this half-completed project state, and a touch of surface corrosion has appeared on the cylinder block upper and lower flat surfaces, which can be easily removed before assembly. The block was cleaned, and painted in red enamel paint before storage.
The COSCAST (Non-Porous) Cylinder head has been skimmed, cleaned, and is corrosion free.
The cam followers have been stored submerged in engine oil to keep air out of the hydraulic lifter pistons.

The engine is fitted with new piston rings and new big end bearing shells.

- Clutch kit complete with thrust bearing (Original OEM GM)
- Set of cylinder head stretch bolts (Original OEM GM)
- Main crankshaft drive pulley stretch bolt (Original OEM GM)
- Set of exhaust / turbo studs and nuts (Original OEM GM)

- Custom CNC machined blanking plate for sump oil level sensor
Mk2 Astra GTE Conversion Parts:
The intention was to install this engine in a MK2 Astra GTE, so I had started compiling the parts needed.
