CAPE LEATHER LIGHTWEIGHT GLOVES
4. These gloves may be worn by crew members who require a glove which does not restrict the sense of touch and gives protection from flash burns. The tanning of the leather ensures that the gloves have a slightly sticky surface. the gloves are supplied in pairs in six sizes 7 1/2 to 10 ascending in half sizes, and are available under Stores Ref. 22C/1061 to 1066.

This AP does not mention the white cap leather gloves, but instead has a section covering the green equivalent.

These gloves have seen a lot of service life, and are a good "used" example. Visible is the later (NSN style) Stores Ref number 22C/0005737, which does not sit within the range of 22C numbers in the above quote.
