The C-Type Wired Naval helmet is an adaption of the "C-Type Wired" helmet, in that a different headset is installed.

They are fitted with sewn on rounded leather pockets with zips, as used previously on the B-Type helmets. These are for holding the earphones in place.

Note: The rounded pockets with zips can cause people to mis-identify C-Type helmets for B-Type. Another source of confusion in this game.

The headset of the Type C Naval helmet contains electrical speakers, but also a pair of adaptors also allowing the use of Gosport tubes. This headset allows use of the electrical speakers, or Gosport tubes, or both together. For example, a flying instructor may be connected to the student by Gosport tubes, but have the electrical headset connected to a radio.

The electrical harness used offers the ability to wire the headset receivers in parallel or series to either halve or double the impedance of an individual receiver. The harness also includes adaptors at the terminals allowing for a choice of redeivers to be used.
