British Aircrew Mk7 Life Jacket

The Mk7 life jacket includes a square aperture on the right hand side just below the fluorescine sea marker pocket to allow a pressure-breathing waitcost to be connected through the jacket to the oxygen tube of J-Type or M-Type oxygen masks.

The Mk7 life jacket provided pockets for a SARBE (Transmitter Type T.10050) Mk1 or Mk2 beacon. The Mk2 battery unit was 1" smaller in depth than the Mk1 battery, and required a foam "making up piece" (Ref. No. 22C/2690) to be installed in the pocket. The beacon is stowed in the left hand pocet, and battery unit in the right.

(Note: The SARBE equipment is described in AP2554E Vol 1.). The lamp and battery are described in AP4343, Vol 1 and Vol 1 Book 3.)
