The Mk1 High Pressure PEC only used for Phantom Aircraft.

A "high Pressure Type" PEC for low altitude, it provides connections for: breathing oxygen, AVS, anti-G trousers, and communications.

The High Pressure hose delivers oxygen to a miniature chest mounted pressure regulator Type 317A-Mk1, to which a V1-Type or X1-Type oxygen mask is connected.

Instead of the PEC Seat Portion being responsible for disconnecting the PEC Man Portion, a new method is employed, whereby the lanyard from the leaver is pulled on by life preserver when he separates form the seat. See quote below.

Quote:

The hose assembly, high pressure Mk 1 is designed for use by the ejection seat occupants of Phantom aircraft. In addition to the high pressure oxygen hose and mic/tel cable assembly the man portion is equipped with an AVS connector forward of the mic/tel connector and anti-g connector. A nylon lanyard, attached to the release handle, terminates in a metal ring which engages with a spring hook on a lanyard on the life preserver. When seat/man separation occurs after ejection, the pull of the lanyard lifts the release handle to free the man portion from the PEC seat portion.
