The Mk9 PEC was only used in the RAF for Buccaneer S2.

A "Fighter Type" PEC for low altitude, it provided connections for: breathing oxygen, AVS, anti-G trousers, and communications. The Mk9(b) is also fitted with an "Anti-Drown" Valve.

The bayonet Mk7A oxygen connector has a fitting to attach it vertically to a later LSJ chest plate.

Also included is a lanyard to save the PEC plate clunking on the cockpit access ladders.

This image shows the Mk9(b) PEC with lanyard attached to the torso harness, and Anti-G trouser hose connected to the fitting. At the base of the oxygen hose, the anti-drown valve can be seen, making this a Mk9(b).
