These events are a great opportunity to see some great sights, meet the actors, attend workshops and talks, and have a great day of general nerding about!
People come along in costume (cosplay), which provides a lot of entertainment!
There is also a great selection of props and costumes to see, be they original genuine screen-used or fan-made accurate replicas.
Makers of costumes and props bring along their work-in-progress projects, which gives a great insight into how they go together, and the techniques used, often the same as the originals.
