DESCRIPTION
Taxi lights help to illuninate the taxiway or runway in front of the aircraft while taxying. They also make the aircraft more visible to others.
The Lightning's taxying lights are mounted on the main undercarruage legs.
This video below taken on a dark rainy day demonstrates all external lighting. With the 2 position TAXI LIGHT switch set to ON, the taxi lights lamps can be mounted to the main undercarriage legs.

EXAMPLE
This example of a taxying light Type A came from the nose of a Jet Provost Mk. 3, and is the same as used on the Lightning main undercarriage legs.
