The Mk2 High Pressure PEC only used for Harrier Aircraft.

A "high Pressure Type" PEC for low altitude, it provides connections for: breathing oxygen, anti-G trousers, and communications.

The High Pressure hose delivers oxygen to a miniature chest mounted pressure regulator Type 317A-Mk2, to which a V1-Type or X1-Type oxygen mask is connected.

Instead of the PEC Seat Portion being responsible for disconnecting the PEC Man Portion, a new method is employed, whereby the lanyard from the leaver is pulled on by life preserver when he separates form the seat. Also a zipped gaiter is used around the PEC man portion. See quote below.

Quote:

The hose assembly, high pressure Mk 2 is designed for use by the ejection seat occupants of Harrier aircraft. It is similar to the Mk 1 assembly but the front AVS connector has been removed, the hole has been plugged and the remaining connector is for the anti-g system. A zipped gaiter is fitted to surround the connectors and is secured by nylon cord through eyelets and around the mic/tel connector. The zip fastener permits the anti-g trouser hose connector to be attached when donning flying clothing. A lanyard on the life preserver is conencted to the release handle of the man portion by a nut and bolt.
