TRIM AND AIR BRAKE INDICATOR TYPE S193-6-14

LEADING PARTICULARS

Stores Ref. No.:6A/6488
Manufacturer:Sangamo Weston

DESCRIPTION

This indicator presents the positions of the trim actuators, alongside the air brake position. A slotted area confirms the airbrakes are locked closed.

The airbrakes are confirmed closed by the lock switches introducing an additional resistor into one side of the airbrake circuit, forcing the pointer further than the airbrake position full scale.

SIMULATION

Trim positions and airbrake position are already modelled within the FGUK. Lightning model, so the data is already available. Each of the indicators are of a ratiometer type, each will require two analogue signals one presenting the inverse signal to the other.

As external calibration potentiometers are included in the aircraft between transmitter and indicator, the signals required at the indicator coils may need to be slightly asymmetrical.
